Hi
I am setting up a new website with a different host.
I’d like to use Woo as I did on my old website, but there is a problem.
I sell digital products.
The recommended method of secure handling of digital files requires one of the two specific modules on the server.
The setting says:
“X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile – Downloads are handled by the server (nginx/apache). This method requires the X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile module to be installed and enabled on the server. Confirm with your web host that one of these modules is installed before using this method. It’s the most reliable method because the file is served directly to the customer. This option offers the best performance and security (files are protected by an .htaccess file.) ”
I have reached out to my host, and this is their reply:
“We have Litespeed on our hosting services rather than NGINX or Apache. They use different Modules to what LiteSpeed does but act in a similar way.
X-LiteSpeed-Location is the LiteSpeed implementation of those modules and should do exactly what you are after here rather that X-Accel-Redirect or X-Sendfile, however to implement this, you will need to refer to a web developer or WooCommece support which can assist with this as its not part of our scope of support”.
As I have no clue what needs to be done (I’m not a developer), could you please advise whether you are able to help me set it up.
thanks
