@joe: Wow, deactivating DB cache reloaded fix and the problem was gone. When I tried to switch it back on in wrapper mode I got all kind of weird php errors. But it is clear now that these two plugins clash. Thanks.
I'll see if I can find a solution for the wrapper mode errors.
