@bytheshore: Oh! Something I know! It appears to me that you made a page called "home" and that your "about" content is set to show in your index (your real homepage).
In the back end, you will need to navigate to: Apperance -> Editor
By default, the style sheet should display. Select "Main Index Template."
Somewhere in the code (I'm unsure where because I don't have access to your theme) you will find the word "about" or something similar. comment out this line with <!-- at the beginning and --> at the end. Save it and see what that does.
