Hi,

My client would like and order date box to be implemented in the woocommerce order emails her clients send through. She basically wants the client order slip to show that the order will only be dispatched/available 48 hours after the order has been made online. What is the best option here?

Also, my client is having a hard time collating/organising payments being received from clients online because sometimes the name of the client does not match the name of the client’s account. Is there a way of getting around this difficulty?

Description

When a guest user checks out, and he doesn’t choose to create an account, the account is created all the same. Besides this, when the user tries to “register” his account with the email he used to make the purchase, the system logs in even without requesting for a password.

Failed solutions

– Disabling all plugins, leaving only Woocommerce and the Storefront theme enabled.
– Enable/Disable the option “Allow customers to log into an existing account during checkout” in Woocommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy.

Instance info

Other configurations I have enabled in Woocommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy are the following:

– Allow customers to place orders without an account
– Allow customers to create an account during checkout
– Allow customers to create an account on the “My account” page
– When creating an account, automatically generate an account username for the customer based on their name, surname or email
– When creating an account, automatically generate an account password

I have a small shop and expect that I will have sporadic private orders from clients that are outside the overall product catalog and will be one-offs for the particular clients.

I’m trying to figure out if there is some way to create / provide these private orders for them to purchase once defined. There aren’t enough of them to warrant investing in a dedicated plugin.

Current thought is to create a “custom order” product category and not show that category in the general catalog. Then send a direct link to the product page after it is published, for the client to complete the purchase.

Any thoughts on how I could accomplish that (filtering the categories on the public page) and / or any other approaches that might be easier / better?

I’m using WooCommerce and want to have the Admin New order email notification include the Customer Notes that are created by Woocomerce, as distinct from Customer entered Notes. Is there a placeholder variable that I can put into the email template to do this?

When testing our shop we purchased a product via credit card and received an email confirming our payment. I went to WooCommerce and checked the status of the order, but it says ‘Pending Payment’. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hello!
I import a huge amount of goods. Each already has custom attributes. How can I use them to filter products in a storefront? I cannot manually create such a huge number of attributes and assign them to each of the goods. Perhaps there is some kind of plugin?

I’ve used this feature on and off since launching my site when customers e.g. phone through an order. I have not had any problems with it before, other than having to manually send the customer the link to the payment page (because that is not included in the email they receive from the system).

However when I created an order a couple of days ago and clicked on the customer payment page so I could send the link to the customer, it took me to my website with the following error message:

I’ve checked and the site is running the current version of WordPress, and all the plugins are up to date. I’ve searched the forum and haven’t found any other mention of this. Anyone got a solution to this problem? I am pretty close to chucking WordPress in the bin – it has become so clunky.

Hi,

I have disabled reviews in WooCommerce / settings / Products yet the tab is still there on my product page. I also want to remove the additional Information Tab.I want to remove these 2 tabs from all the products in my shop.

Could someone explain the best / simplest way to do this?

I have a shop that only deals with Local Pickup.
Woocommerce was STILL asking for the shipping address, so I made those fields OPTIONAL (and in fact the address fields are not shown on screen) with a functions.php hack I found at https://www.tychesoftwares.com/how-to-make-fields-mandatory-or-optional-on-the-woocommerce-checkout-page/

I thought I was done.

However, when an order is to be placed, the Local Shipping option is not shown, presumably because no delivery address was entered (because I made the address optional) and instead it says “There are no shipping options available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.”

So how can I tell woocommerce to IGNORE the customer delivery address and display the Local Pickup option regardless of the address?

All our billing fields were being set to optional.
I have overridden in the woocommerce_checkout_fields but the WooCommerce PayPal Plugin sets the labels to (optional).
I have deleted the plugin and added it again and still no change.

I’ve purchased the automatewoo plugin with the hope of having a simple way or achieving the following:

When we get an order in status Processing, and email would be send to our cloud printer.
The email itself should consist of all line items, augmented with a brief product description.

This brief product description is the problem….
As all e-sellers know, the information regarding the products need to be sales-reaalted by nature and the titles need to include all the keywords etc etc to be able to rank fairly high on google and what not. This is not at all useful information for the crew actually putting the orders together and having the postal service fetch them.
Instead I would like to have a very brief description making it crystal clear to them what they should actually put in the box….

My idea was to put this description in a Meta field (all products should have this) and then ideally have the email look something like this:

for all line items:
<ProductCode> <How many> <Brief Product Description>
end

Any ideas about how to accomplish this in an easy way?

The AutomateWoo only have a limited list of variables I could include in the email and it reads nothing from product, but only from order which means that I can’t add anything from products in the email.

When the cart page is opened in mobile, then the product image inside the table is aligning at right side and not in the center. How can i resolve this issue?

I have a product with 3 packs: – 14-days trial (user should not have to enter paypal details) – monthly – yearly

We used WooCommerce with “WooCommerce Subscriptions” and “WooCommerce Software License”. And we want to use PayPal.

There was also a problem with recurring payments and PayPal Plus so let’s assume we use PayPal Standard which is supported by WooComemrce and WooCommerce Subscriptions.

The problem is the “14-days trial” logic:

If I create a subscription with a 14-day free trial then it would charge the user after those 14 days because it’s only a delay.

If I put the price to $0 then the user could renew it for $0

I can create a simple product and only use the licence manager and creating a licence which expires after 14 days. But then the user will not be able renew it. He would have to go to the page again and order the correct subscription.

Does anyone has some experience with subscriptions, free trial and licences?

En la ficha de producto en woocommerce aparece una tabla con la descripción y la información adicional. Quiero eliminar las palabras de la izquierda “descripción” e “información adicional” y el texto de informacion adicional pero quiero quedarme con el texto de la descripción únicamente.

En resumen es una tabla formada por 4 elementos, o eso me parece a mi, y quiero quedarme solo con el texto de la descripción, prefiero conseguir esto con php y no ocultarlo con css.

I produce and sell chocolates. At present customers can only buy predefined selection boxes. I would like to allow them to purchase selection boxes where they choose which chocolates are in the box themselves. Note that the chocolates should not be purchasable individually.

My current attempt at configuring this involves defining the individual chocolates as Simple Products, all of which belong to a category “Single”. I have not given them a price to prevent them from being added to the cart. I have managed to configure my archive and shop pages to exclude the “Single” category with a mixture of config and updates to functions.php. I have purchased a plug-in which allows me to create customised bundles, but because my individual chocolates do not have a price the plug-in is not considering them purchasable and they can’t be added to the bundle. If I give them a price of 0, then the option to Add to Cart etc appears on them. I could hide this, but it starts to feel like I am creating too much custom code and hence probably heading down the wrong path.

I have also been looking at the Composite Products plug-in from WooCommerce. It looks like it will probably do what I want, but is probably overkill as it offers far more flexibility than I need. I’m also reluctant to keep buying plug-ins until I find one that works, and then having to apply for refunds on all the ones that didn’t quite meet my needs.

Please could someone recommend an approach or plug-ins that will allow me to achieve what I want? Will Composite Products do what I need?

Note that ideally I would keep my individual chocolates as Simple Products as they are all defined already with descriptions and images, and I already have a way of linking these products to the predefined selection boxes they are in to allow customers to see details on the box contents. However if this is completely the wrong approach I’m not averse to reworking it.

Is it possible to add a tooltip to the attribute name?

let’s say I have an attribute name called “certificate”, can I add a tooltip to it so when people click it or hover over it it shows a description.

Hello,

I started my website with only 1 product in a few colors. I created simple products for each product.
It was easier to navigate. Also there was no option to show the different variations in the shop.

Recently I found a plugin which can show variations in the shop.

So at the moment I am creating one (parent) variation product for all the colors and removing the seperate simple pages of this product (with different colors). So instead (for example) of 5 different pages with different colors I got just 1.

That’s all working but by doing this it looks like I lose all the sales data (which isn’t strange because I added them new as variations).

How can I move the sales data from the simple pages to the variations?

I tried just ordering the same quantity of the variations (using a 100% coupon) but that doesn’t seem to work.

How can I get the old sales data to the variations? Maybe editing something in the database? Or some other way?

I’m trying to add the word ‘From’ before the price on the category page and the product page but only on external products.

I can add the text to all products but this effects other changes I have made that. Is it possible to add the text to only external products?
