Automatic E-Mail not sent on completed order [after update]

Hello Support,

so I guess after the last upadate (to 3.5.1) the automatic e-mail after a completed payment process stopped working. Right now the customer does not get an email notification with the invoice and the order information (incl. download link to downloadable products).

Even though I am not sure, I assume that the last update broke that function, since it was still working around one week ago.

WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails: Every setting except “Customer invoice / Order details” is “checked”. Only “Customer invoice / Order details” shows a grey right sided arrow. In contrast to the other options “Customer invoice / Order details” does not show me a checkbox to activate that function.

How do I enable that function again?

With best regards
ruphusroger

product gallery images not showing

Replies: 0

I’ve seen this issue posted in this forum and on other websites,

…at some point when upgrading to woocommerce 3 my product gallery images
stop showing.

things to know about my website:

— I do have a custom theme, I reworked an html website template and created a basic wordpress theme.

— from the previous versions of woocommerce I added woocommerce.php to my theme file to help style the product page (and it worked well, my product images did show at that time).

what I’ve tried to do to resolve the issue:

— From what I’ve read in support I needed to add theme support to my functions.php file, which I’ve done, and added additional css in my style.css file (css for product gallery image and product gallery trigger and product gallery flex control, etc…) please see code below.

— then I tried updating files in my theme folder following woocommerce documentation – I removed the woocommerce.php file and added a directory woocommerce/content-single-product.php (I copied the contents of content-single-product.php from my plugins/woocommerce files and added a bit of html for custom styling)

— I’ve disabled all script files and I’ve disabled all plugins and still nothing has worked to resolve the issue.

— I see through page inspector tools that my product images are loading on the page, but I can’t see what the conflict is from there.

any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
_Cindy

Featured Products Shortcode Not Using Storefront Layouts?

I’m trying to use the shortcodes on the homepage to display items.

[products limit="8" columns="4" orderby="date" order="desc" visibility="featured"]

Problem is it’s not using the same layout as the shop page uses because the classes are different.

Shop page layouts use this:

<ul class="products columns-3">
<li class="product-category product first">
</li>
........
</ul>

But when I use a shortcode it uses:

<div class="woocommerce columns-4 "><ul class="products columns-4">
<li class="post-651 product type-product status-publish has-post-thumbnail product_cat-coin-purses-wallets-id-holders product_cat-cambodia-recycled-tire-products first instock featured taxable shipping-taxable purchasable product-type-simple">
</li>
........
</ul></div>

Can I use shortcodes to use the StoreFront layout with the shortcodes?

Changing position of ‘p’ text

Hi,
I have a variations table set up on a product page.
It works well the only thing is I need to align the variation description with the price & add to cart.
When i select the description is shows as a ‘p’ element and any changes i make affects all the other ‘p’ elements.
Is there any way I can just change these two words and not the whole page?
Thank you for any advice.

PRICING PROBLEM

Using Mix & Match, I’m trying to display a bedroom set in a furniture store with a fixed price to buy the whole six-piece set.

I also want to display each component in that set and have the price show plus the option to include it or exclude it from the main set.

Viewers should be able to either buy the whole set or one or two components.

I’ve tried Product Bundles, Composites and Mix & Match but all three are impossible. Either the overall price increases whenever a component is selected or it’s fixed and the buyer has to pay the full price for a small component.

Here’s a link to an older non-Woocommerce site that shows exactly what I want. http://www.nothinfancy.ca/index.php?showmedetail=2&readme=11&editordisplay=&image=thumbnailpix2/2180A!3.jpg&baseimage=thumbnailpix2/2180A!3.jpg&i=5&m=5&mm=5&thecount=24

Insert Product-Specific Pixel Code at Thank You Page Based on Products Ordered?

Replies: 2

I’m trying to insert conversion tracking code on the “Thank you” (order-received) page displayed once someone successfully checks out in my WooCommerce store.

I need to insert the code based on what product(s) has been ordered.

So, basically:

  • If someone orders book 1, I need {book-1-pixel-code} inserted on the thank you page.
  • If someone orders book 2, I need {book-2-pixel-code} inserted on the thank you page.
  • If someone orders book 3, I need {book-3-pixel-code} inserted on the thank you page.
  • If someone orders book 1, book 2, and book 3, I need {book-1-pixel-code}, {book-2-pixel-code}, and {book-3-pixel-code} inserted into the thank you page.

I have been searching for ways to do this without a custom script but have yet to find any solutions…any insight or possibilities to get this achieved would be greatly appreciated!

Product Variations: Global or local attributes – why use one vs other

Even though we have WC 3.5.1, WP 4.9.8, 2017 theme, and all plugins but WC disabled, we are experiencing the issue of variations being reset to default as described in:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/woocommerce-3-2-4-product-variations-do-not-save-variations-revert-to-default/

I have followed the guidance of: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc
to no change in the intermittent reset of variations.

The attribute used for the variations has 1868 terms in it, however only 2-20 are used on any product, does the number of terms size possibly have anything to do with the reset to default issue?

As a test I created a new product and added both local and global attributes for variations. The global ones are intermittently getting reset while the local ones are not. If the attributes are not shared between products, is there any value/reason I should use global attributes for variations?

Thanks for your help on this question.

Are there any page templates that I can use for a fully fledged out Woocommerce page hosted on a different WordPress theme. The theme I am using is FWRD and I am looking to see if there are some basic page templates for Woo that I can use for just the Web Store page as opposed to building out a separate Woo install.

Any advice or insights are appreciated.. Short of a streamlined page, would it just be more efficient to do a multisite network and create a standalone Woo store?

Woocommerce variant product dimension display “&-times;” instead “x”

@pidzejj posted this up in the generic wordpress issue forum, but looks like he hasn’t done it here yet. I have the same issue…so I’m going to re-post for him.

Hello. I have such a problem with woocommerce plugin. Since last upgrade of woocommerce to last version I can see “×” instad “x” in dimension section in variant product. So I can see for ex. “&15times;15×15cm” instead “15 x 15 x 15cm”.

Official support recommends me to disable every plugin (try to plugin conflict) and activate storefront theme. I trie both of theese solvings and still no success (this means that problem could be in original woocommerce plugin). You can watch screenshot of this issue here: https://www.designbydenisa.cz/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/issue.jpg

Hi,
Since last update of WooCommerce, I notice a issue in the form when I’m adding new attributes to a product.

When I select attributes and then I save changes, the input change for a select list.

Adding attributes: https://snag.gy/od2T0G.jpg
After saved changes: https://snag.gy/bHpw06.jpg

Sometimes seems that attributes don’t saved at all.

I will appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks.

Paypal error when buying the last item in stock

It has happened a couple of times now that a customer bought the last item of a product that we have in stock and after they get my confirmation email with the link to pay via Paypal instead of being forwarded to their website to pay they get an error message from my website saying that they can’t pay for the order, because the item is out of stock. So far every customer has let me know so I was able to send them an invoice directly through Paypal, but it’s a bit annoying nevertheless.

I have no clue where to even start looking for a solution. I would appreciate any help.

I am using the latest versions of WooCommerce, WordPress and WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway.

My client has a wordpress website that uses Woocommerce for selling their products. Some of the error codes I keep seeing on a repeated basis is “version 2.5.0 is out of date. If I am to get to their cPanel, will I be able to update the WooCommerce thru the normal plugin update or do I have to re-download the plugin?

Please advise

After the update I am no longer able to increase or decrease line items on products in orders. I am not even able to select the individual items. I am able to adjust the price, quantity etc… but the option to adjust the inventory is now gone.

Is this a change in the software? Are others having this issue? Can it be fixed?

Thank you
