Sales Tax added to out of state customers (rarely)

Sales Tax Randomly Added
I have a site that has been up for years and I keep everything updated. Recently there have been a few orders where sales tax was added to an out-of-state order when there should have been no sales tax. I only tax customers in AZ.

If I go to the site and make an order with the same address in a previous order that was in error and enter the person’s same address it does not add sales tax to the order and I can not replicate the issue. Seems to working as it should.

The business is in AZ and only charges sales tax for AZ residents. We sell to many states and it seems that the few times the sales tax was added in error were only to a few addresses in California. This just recently started on only a few orders.

Any tips on how to troubleshoot or maybe I can add something that always prevents sales tax being added to any order with a California address?

Oh one other detail that shouldn’t have any effect but the only thing that has changed in a few years is that I changed many of the products from variable to simple products. There are a lot of options so I started using addons for the options.

Store notice body class is added even if the user has dismissed the notice

When the store notice is enabled, the <body> tag gets a class. This class is still assigned when a user has dismissed the notice.

Some themes may depend on that body tag to account for various offsets related to showing the notice. This can create display issues for users who have dismissed the notice. Space may be allocated for the notice, but it isn’t ultimately rendered.

Linked page has the dismiss button hidden until we come up with a solution for this. You can use your inspector to find the dismiss button, show it, and click it to demonstrate the issue with this specific theme (I’ve opened a ticket with them as well).

I think the body class should be removed if the user has the cookie that gets set when the notice is dismissed.

Can’t change Default Sorting

Hi
I now that, display tab is moved to Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce, sorting options can manage from customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog.

BUT how to disable it, so i can sorting my self only backend (products list)

Products, Published, kategory, filtrer – dosent work, every time i have made one sorting, f. eks. “NEW Wines” and sorting f. eks. “African Wines” – then it resorting “New Wines” (automatic) what is Wrong…..????

(have tryed drag&drop – dosent work …!!!

need help moving product sku on single product page

I am building a woocommerce website for a client and i am trying to move the product sku from its current location (blue arrows) to just underneath the product title (red arrows).

Attributes display

Hi,

We have just imported products from Magento to WooCommerce, all has gone well 🙂

But we have many ‘product Attributes’ within Magento, which have been imported as ‘Attributes’ into WooCommerce. But in Magento they are two different groups of Attributes

Whereas in WooCommerce there seems to be just one form of Attribute, so I have just a long list: https://www.screencast.com/t/Aobj2q1mo under ‘Additional Information.

Would it be possible to split those Attributes into two groups?

Allow Admin to add an out of stock product to a cart?

Can anyone think of a way to allow an override of Out of Stock product so that an admin could add a product to a customer’s cart, even if inventory shows it as out of stock? The reason for this is that we may sometimes have a VIP customer ask for a product and we search our warehouse trying to find one that for whatever reason wasn’t included in the inventory.

Currently using User Switching plugin that allows us to access a customer account.

I used GTmerix to test my website and was told to serve scaled images, see the screenshot https://snipboard.io/YfnWLm.jpg

GTmetrix is suggesting you use a 58x58px version of the image since this is how it is displayed on my website, see https://snipboard.io/Lu10DE.jpg

The thumbnails are generated by WooCommerce plugin for their widgets.

How to generate 58×58 thumbnails for my homepage, and keep the original images for the product detail pages only?

Change product price and Tax/total

Hello

I need help with changing the format of my CART area.

Ive included an image HERE for your reference.

Im attempting to display my products pricing INCLUDING GST and at the same time have the total and tax in the cart displayed on separate lines.

The products have the Tax included within the shop but not in the cart. When I included the product tax in cart, the total displays like this $265.00(inc TAX)

To have it display like this Total: $265.00
Tax: $26.50
You need to exclude tax from the product in cart/checkout….which I dont want to do.

Ive already modified .PHP for checkout.

My question is, which .PHP file would I need to change and what lines to display products including tax in the catt and have the total and tax on seperate lines within the cart.

How to edit User roles

Ive set up a Shop Manager user role for my client. Ive also installed the User Role Editor plugin for more granular control, but I cant see anywhere to disable a few of the left hand side navigation items. For example, how do I hide the Woocommerce>Extensions menu item?

Follow up customer emails encouraging to complete order

I would like to have the facility that if a customer visits the site and doesn’t buy on the initial occasion that they are followed up with an email or promotional email enticing them to buy or complete order.

Perhaps the Woocommerce Mailchimp plugin can do this? (Although I notice the Woocommerce Mailchimp has very bad reviews.)

Hi everyone, I will contact you to try to solve this last problem that haunts this site that I am creating.
How come when I add the url inside the bar that I entered below the quantity (it is a plug-in of product add-ons) does not appear in the cart… .also with other product addons it goes exactly like this, which option should I use for the customer to enter these additional mandatory options at the point of purchase? thanks!

I have a case that requires your support. So I tried to export orders from December 18 to 19, but I found that one order from December 18 was missing due to the payment date being December 17. Why is the payment date not the same day the order was made?

Unable to edit Woocommerce emails models

Hi,

I am not a developer, but I have some basics.
6 months back, I edited the text of my Woocommerce order notifications email. I am quite sure I edited a model. I am unable to find a way to edit the emails again.
In Woocommerce/settings, I have a message saying that the template has been overriden by my theme.
When I look at the templates in my theme/woocommerce/templates, I cannot find anything to change in my emails, I am a bit lost. I can only find text in English (my email text is in French).

I know that I am not looking at the right place, but after 2 hours of looking everywhere, I give up and ask for some kind help 🙂
